ETC635 - Technology Planning and Professional Development
District Technology Plan
District Technology Plan The plan website that I collaborated with a classmate on show the above standard the best. As a whole, it shows the understanding I developed during this course. We studied and created plans for assessing the technology needs of the district as well as the best means of implementation and evaluation. The various portions of the plan created a unifying whole complete with professional development and program evaluation efforts. The next two examples of my work in this course are two components of this plan. |
Technology Plan Budget
Technology Plan Budget Up to this point in the the program, I had not learned anything about budgeting for technology integration. Every technology plan needs an accurate and planned budget. The budgeting knowledge I did have related well to this, but was also expanded further with the concept of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). This type of budgeting procedure becomes especially important when budgeting for technology which consumes resources and requires constant upgrading. TCO calculations allow those planning to purchase technology equipment and software to ensure that continuous ability to use the purchased items. |
Program Evaluation
Program Evaluations The Program Evaluations required a great deal of research. My partner and I worked together to discover the best strategies and how to incorporate them into a seamless whole. We used a unifying evaluation model -- collaborative evaluation -- and utilized strategies from other methods with that guiding principle. Different evaluation strategies have different strengths. If time and resources allow, it is important to evaluate from more than one viewpoint. |
