ETC625 - Designing Instruction


Prezi Presentation

  • Select and upload or link to the assignment that challenged you to "demonstrate content and pedagogical knowledge, skills, and dispositions in technology integration and current and emerging technologies necessary to effectively implement the NETS•S, NETS•T, and NETS•A" (NETS*TD, Standard 6, Element 1).
I created this Prezi as part of the Web-Based Lesson.  It involved integrating knowledge into technology and providing a guide to terminology.  I think that each Prezi is a challenge to incorporate different learning styles and instructional strategies.  I plan to add voice over to this as I continue to develop the course for future use.

Web-Based Lesson Evaluations
I find evaluations and assessment interesting and challenging.  Creating assessments for a topic with which I am familiar seems particularly difficult.  As I learn about a topic, it seems easier to determine a method to evaluate.  I have placed above a link to the evaluations I created for the web-based lesson project

The evaluations, included in the web-based lesson, are still in need of adaptation to be fully functional.  Like other parts of instruction, assessment instruments need to be tested to ensure they work for the intended purpose.  I found this practice with creating evaluations to be particularly enlightening.  I hope to continue to work on them.

Teaching All Students

  • Select and upload or link to the Communicating Best Practices: Professional Presentation that demonstrates your ability to "evaluate, reflect on, and synthesize their work and research to improve and strengthen their professional practice" (NETS*TD, Standard 6, Element 5).
I created this Prezi, entitled Teaching All Students, for the Communicating Best Practices assignment.  It challenged me to bring the explanations and concepts for instructional strategies to life.  This process deepened my understanding of the purpose of each of the strategies for addressing different types of learners as well as the application of the strategy.  The experience of recording audio in an non-professional setting is stressful and difficult to accomplish.  However, voice over provides greater access to the information contained within the presentation.
